Your best yet!! For me, there is a huge difference in the quality of writing in story three over story one. That is really thrilling to see an author really hone their craft and you did an amazing job. The story isn't long, but it feels "complete" because the storytelling is pefectly paced with you as the author "showing" us the events rather than "telling" the reader of them.
